Our first consultation is a complimentary 45-minute session—an opportunity for us to get to know each other. You’ll tell me about your project, your goals, and your needs. I’ll share insights into my design process, experience and past work.
Following our initial conversation, we’ll schedule an in-person second meeting. Before this meeting, you’ll receive a Letter of Agreement outlining the scope of work and next steps. I’ll walk you through my design proposal—page by page—so we can align expectations and answer any questions. It’s essential that all decision-makers are present for this meeting, as it sets the foundation for a successful collaboration. A non-refundable deposit shall be provided at the time of this meeting to secure the project and initiate the next phase of work.
Once the agreement is signed by both parties, we’ll begin the Conceptual Design Phase. During this stage, my team and I will develop an initial vision for your project, including preliminary floor plans and rough 3D visuals. This is where your ideas begin to take shape—refined, reimagined, and brought to life with care and creativity. Timeline: 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the scope and complexity of the project. Note: photos/videos of the Conceptual Design presentation are not permitted. All design content presented remains the intellectual property of the designer.
Any adjustments or revisions to the conceptual design are implemented. This is also when I begin developing the full design plan, including:
This phase typically takes 2 to 5 weeks, depending on the complexity and number of revisions.
Note: photos/videos of the Conceptual Design presentation are not permitted. All design content presented remains the intellectual property of the designer.
Once the detailed selections are ready, we’ll meet for a third in-person presentation, where you’ll have an opportunity to review the full design package and make any final changes. All decision-makers should be present, as this meeting finalizes the direction of the project.
Following this meeting, I will prepare and present the finalized budget for product procurement. These documents require signatures from both the client(s) and designer to move forward. At this stage, 100% of the purchasing fee is collected in advance to secure and order all approved items.
During this phase, your Designer will:
With the design finalized and the budget approved, the Implementation Phase begins. The General Contractor (GC) initiates demolition and construction work on site, following the agreed plans and specifications. During this time, my team and I begin placing orders and managing the procurement of all approved items—starting with those that have the longest lead times, such as appliances, plumbing fixtures, doors, windows, flooring, and key furniture pieces. Timely ordering ensures that installations align with the construction schedule and that the project stays on track. Coordination with the General Contractor (GC) during demolition and build.
Additionally, your Designer will:
Once construction is complete and all items have arrived, we move into the Installation & Styling phase. This is where the vision truly comes to life. My team and I carefully oversee the delivery, placement, and installation of all furnishings, lighting, rugs, window treatments, art, and decorative accessories. Every detail is considered and styled with intention to create a cohesive, polished, and livable space that reflects your personality and lifestyle.
The final step in the process is a detailed walkthrough of the finished space. Together, we review the full installation, identify any remaining punch list items, and ensure that every element meets our shared expectations. I’ll also provide care instructions, product information, and any relevant warranties.
Please be prepared for a Punch List—a list of items that may need to be completed, corrected, replaced, or returned. No matter how carefully a project is planned, the punch list is an inevitable part of any construction process. With many people, materials, and moving parts involved, occasional errors or adjustments are natural.
That said, we always strive to make the construction process as smooth and stress-free as possible for our clients. Our team is committed to identifying and addressing any issues promptly and thoroughly. As long as expectations are aligned and you’re mentally prepared for this final phase, we’ll take care of the details—ensuring the finished result meets our shared vision for your home.
