Design Fee Structure
My design fees are based on the square footage of your home and the overall complexity of the project. Pricing typically ranges between $11–$35 per square foot.
For example:
If your home is approximately 2,800 sq ft and your goal is to repaint and redecorate without any structural changes, the design fee will likely fall within the $11–$20/sq ft range.
However, for projects that involve construction, space planning, or custom elements, the rate typically ranges from $21–$35/sq ft, reflecting the increased time, detail, and coordination required.
All pricing will be discussed in detail and clearly outlined in the Letter of Agreement, which we’ll review together during our second meeting. I’ll walk you through the proposal page by page, ensuring everything is transparent, fair, and fully understood before we move forward.
In short—no. While it may seem convenient or cost-effective, purchasing items independently is not a successful approach and can jeopardize the overall outcome of the design.
Interior design is a highly coordinated process. Every piece is thoughtfully selected to fit the project’s vision, scale, and quality standards, and to align with delivery timelines. When clients purchase items on their own, it often results in mismatched aesthetics, incorrect dimensions, delivery complications, or installation delays—all of which can compromise the final result.
To maintain quality control and ensure a seamless process, all furnishings, finishes, and materials are sourced and managed through me and my team.
This is not only part of my workflow—it’s how my business is structured. It allows me to take full responsibility for the design, ordering, quality assurance, and final installation. It also ensures that you receive a space that’s cohesive, professionally executed, and reflective of the original vision we created together.
YES, you are welcome to work with your own General Contractor, and I am happy to collaborate with them throughout the project. BUT. Communication and alignment are key to ensuring the design is executed as intended.
That said, I do have a list of trusted, proven professionals I regularly work with and highly recommend. Choosing from my network often helps streamline the process, avoid miscommunication, and maintain the level of quality and efficiency that my clients have come to expect.
Please Note:
While I’m always open to working with your preferred General Contractor, it’s important to be aware that Designer–Contractor conflicts can and do happen, especially when roles and responsibilities aren’t clearly defined. Unfortunately, some contractors may shift blame for on-site mistakes onto the designer—often under the assumption that the designer "doesn’t know how to build."
That’s why one of the most critical steps in any successful construction process is a deliberate and thorough vetting of your contractor. Whether you’re choosing from my trusted network or bringing your own, I strongly recommend interviewing multiple candidates. Here’s what to look for:
Choosing the right GC is essential not only for a smooth project, but also for protecting your investment—and your peace of mind.
My journey in interior design began in 2014, when I was fortunate to land an internship with Vanessa De Leon, a Manhattan-based interior designer and television personality. Vanessa became what I warmly refer to as my design godmother—she gave me my very first opportunity to step into the world of interiors before I had any formal training. That experience offered me a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into the industry and sparked a passion that continues to guide my work today.
While my roots trace back to that early exposure, I officially mark 2018 as the beginning of my professional career. It was then that I began working in the field full time, taking on real projects, collaborating with clients, and shaping spaces with intention, creativity, and care.
My job involved kitchen/bath/closet design at Italian Kitchen Design in West Hollywood, where I gained hands-on experience in how cabinetry is actually constructed. During that time, I had the opportunity to collaborate with major developers in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, and Bel Air. It was an intense and fast-paced environment, where I managed approximately 30 projects simultaneously, sharpening both my technical and project management skills.
Later, I became the right-hand assistant to Adeet Madan, principal designer of Adeet Madan Home Design in Beverly Hills. In that role, I wore many hats—working as a drafter and design assistant directly under the principal designer, which allowed me to thoroughly learn the design-to-construction process from the inside out. The homes we designed ranged $5- $15 million, giving me invaluable experience in high-end residential design and the level of precision, creativity, and coordination it demands.
My style is as unique as my clients, as my job is to understand the client and give him or her what’s needed. Naturally, I lean toward clean lines and dramatic statements. Details—and how interiors feel—are very important to me.
Also, since I’m Ukrainian, I deeply appreciate my European background, which is rooted in a lifelong exposure to classical architecture. I call it my European Flair—an instinctive sense of proportion, elegance, and timeless beauty that subtly informs everything I create.
